Honored to be invited to participate in VuMedi Week 2026 The online teaching video was recorded, titled "Advances in Musculoskeletal Pain Imaging From Diagnosis to Clinical Management." This was the second collaboration with VuMedi. Discussing the content with the international team across the screen was quite interesting, as we chatted about our respective locations and discovered this collaboration spanned half the globe.

Advances in Musculoskeletal Pain Imaging From Diagnosis to Clinical Management: Presentation Title Slides
This recording's theme: Advances in Musculoskeletal Pain Imaging From Diagnosis to Clinical Management

This recording was divided into three parts: First, a brief self-introduction; next, an explanation of the basic principles of Transarterial Microembolization (TAME) and Genicular Artery Embolization (GAE), explaining how micro-arterial embolization achieves pain relief by blocking abnormally proliferating blood vessels around the lesion; finally, a focus on the latest clinical advancements of TAME in the treatment of Adhesive Capsulitis/Frozen Shoulder.

VuMedi Week 2026 Teaching Video Outline
The recording content covers self-introduction, TAME/GAE basics, and the latest advancements in frozen shoulder treatment.

The currently published indications for TAME cover multiple areas, including the shoulder (frozen shoulder, rotator cuff tendinitis, secondary shoulder stiffness, trapezius pain), wrist (finger/wrist osteoarthritis, TFCC injury, De Quervain's thumb), elbow (tennis elbow, golfer's elbow), knee (osteoarthritis of the knee, persistent pain after total knee replacement, Hoffa's syndrome, patellar tendinopathy), hip and lower back (lower back pain with facet joint degeneration, hip osteoarthritis, greater trochanteric pain syndrome), and foot and ankle (plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendinitis, ankle osteoarthritis), reflecting the rapidly accumulating empirical foundation of this minimally invasive pain management technique internationally in recent years.

Pain Indications Covered by Published Studies of TAME
TAME has published research covering multiple common musculoskeletal pain sites.

We are delighted to share Taiwan's experience and clinical results in musculoskeletal embolization (MSK Embolization) with radiologists, orthopedic surgeons, and rehabilitation physicians worldwide through VuMedi, an international medical education platform. We also look forward to continuing such international exchanges in the future, allowing more pain patients to understand and benefit from this precise, minimally invasive treatment option.
