[Knee Osteoarthritis] [Transarterial Microembolization (TAME)] [Prolotherapy] [PRP Injection] Successful Case Sharing

Ms. C had suffered from pain on the inside of her left knee for many years, enduring this pain daily. She experienced tightness when walking, and weakness in her leg when standing or sitting. After consultation and examination, Bow Wang, M.D. diagnosed her with "osteoarthritis of the knee." Following discussion, Transarterial Microembolization (TAME), TAME, was performed on Ms. C.

Under local anesthesia, guided by ultrasound and X-ray fluoroscopy, a microcatheter was inserted into the painful area via groin artery puncture. Under arterial angiography, embolization medication was then injected through the microcatheter.

After initial treatment, Ms. C's pain lessened and her mobility improved. Bow Wang, M.D. then performed a local prolotherapy injection on Ms. C's knee after a period of time. Following this treatment, Ms. C's knee pain and mobility improved further.

However, Ms. C wanted even better results, so after discussion, Bow Wang, M.D. performed a platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injection on her. After this injection, Ms. C's knee pain and mobility improved even more significantly.
