Bow Wang, M.D., in collaboration with Dr. Dai Dawei, published a paper on embolization analgesia for osteoarthritis in the *Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology* (JVIR) in 2023. We are honored to have received the prestigious JVIR Peer's Choice Article award in 2024 for this work, which was cited more than ten times in the year following publication.

Bow Wang, M.D. also met Professor Jafar Golzarian, who has extensive research experience in embolization analgesia, at the SIR conference. He introduced the experimental analysis and clinical efficacy of various novel transient embolic agents, expressing his hope that KIPZA and Nexsphere-F could be introduced to Taiwan soon. Bow Wang, M.D. also met Mihir, a medical student from Brown University who had previously come to Taiwan to study with him, and Dr. Okuno.

At this conference, I also listened to and learned about techniques and information related to embolization analgesia (TAME/GAE), high-frequency thermocoagulation (PRF/RFA), and cryoablation. This included direct practice in Medtronic's truck operating room to conduct scalpel experiments. However, with basic knowledge, hearing ten times is not as effective as seeing once, and seeing ten times is not as effective as doing once; further practical learning from other experts is needed to truly understand the nuances.

Many new types of microspheres have been introduced to Europe, America, Japan, South Korea, and other countries for pain relief embolization, and their embolization effects at specific sites are even better, which is enviable.

Dr. Okuno will be holding an international conference, VENTI, in Tokyo this November. The main topics will include pain embolization and nerve block/cauterization therapy, among others.

This included inviting 17 international experts to participate as instructors, and holding a Pre-VENTI conference with an online live demo in April of this year. Bow Wang, M.D. was also honored to participate in this event.
