I am grateful to the Radiological Society of the Republic of China (TRS) for allowing me to serve as the vice-convener of this year's musculoskeletal sub-specialty. Under the initiative of Professor Wang Jianguo, the chief convener, I was able to invite physicians from various related specialties to the year-end quarterly meeting at the Taichung Xinwuri Conference Center to share their perspectives and insights on knee pain from different specialist angles.
We are delighted to have Dr. Yang Zheng-bang from the Department of Orthopedics at Linkou Chang Gung Memorial Hospital explain the physical examination of the knee joint, the impact of the hip and ankle joints on knee pain, and the latest knee surgery techniques.
We are delighted to have Dr. Wu Zhen-de from the Department of Radiology at Linkou Chang Gung Memorial Hospital provide a detailed introduction to the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) manifestations of various knee joint diseases and share free information.Stanford musculoskeletalmagnetic resonance imaging (MRI) Atlas(Click the text to access the graph);
We are delighted to have Dr. Liu Dinghao, Chief Physician of the Rehabilitation Department at Taipei Veterans General Hospital, give us a detailed explanation of the knee ultrasound, including its anatomical structure and pathological changes under physical examination;
We are delighted to have Dr. Li Weixuan, Superintendent and Rehabilitation Department Director of Sheng Sheng Clinic in Hsinchu, lead us through a discussion on the mechanisms, concentrations, and injection concepts of hyperplasia injection therapy, including the application of high-concentration glucose and high-concentration platelet plasma in the knee joint.
We are delighted to have Dr. Tang Zongyong, Chief Physician of the Pain Management Department at Taichung Tzu Chi Hospital, guide us through understanding the nerves supplying the knee joint, nerve cauterization therapy, and different electrocautery techniques.
I was delighted to have Dr. Hsu Yi-Chih, Director of the Department of Radiology at Tri-Service General Hospital, lead us on the topic of intramedullary PRP injection and the application of Transarterial Microembolization (TAME) in the pain relief treatment of intramedullary edema in the knee joint.
While presenting certificates of appreciation, I would also like to give away some local specialties from Tainan and Taichung as souvenirs to all the hardworking speakers. Registration for this conference was very enthusiastic, and it was a complete success.
