Thanks to Dr. Wang Rongpan, Director of Hand Surgery, Department of Orthopedics, Taipei Veterans General Hospital, for the invitation to present Transarterial Microembolization (TAME) at the 2024 Asia Pacific Wrist Association (APWA) Annual Congress. The topic was "Application of Transarterial Microembolization (TAME) in the Treatment of Intractable Wrist and Finger Pain".

The presentation mainly focused on the application of Transarterial Microembolization (TAME) in wrist and finger osteoarthritis, De Quervain's disease (also known as "mommy's thumb"), and triangular fibrocartilage complex (TFCC) injury. Bow Wang, M.D. reviewed relevant literature and shared preliminary research findings.

The Asia Pacific Wrist Association (APWA) is a professional organization focused on wrist health and surgical techniques. Its main purpose is to promote the development of wrist-related medical knowledge and techniques in the Asia Pacific region and to provide a platform for professionals to share experiences and research findings.

APWA holds an annual conference, attracting experts and scholars from various countries. This year, the ninth annual conference was held at Taipei Veterans General Hospital in Taiwan from November 15th to 16th. The conference covered multiple themes, including wrist surgery, rehabilitation, and treatment, and invited many influential speakers in related fields, including many international speakers, to share their expertise. Bow Wang, M.D. benefited greatly from the conference.

During the lectures, Bow Wang, M.D. asked many questions of Professor Chang Kai-Min from the Taipei Nursing Home of National Taiwan University Hospital, and continuously learned from him about the structure and injection techniques of ultrasound in various locations. On the way back to Tainan from Taipei, Bow Wang, M.D. also discussed simplified microvascular embolization (SCAM) and foot fractures with Dr. Yang Zhuo-Chi from Lianxin Hospital and Sheng Sheng You Dong Clinic, as well as Dr. Chen Li-Jun from Sheng Sheng You Dong Clinic, sparking many insightful discussions.
