[VIPS 2024 Triple-Image-Guided Pain Intervention] [Nerve Block and Radiofrequency Therapy] [Academic Exchange] 2024-06-02
Author: Bow Wang, M.D.
Neuron block and high-frequency thermocoagulation therapy are powerful tools for treating refractory peripheral joint diseases such as knee, shoulder, and hip joint pain, in addition to spinal disorders, by targeting the pain nerves.
Bow Wang, M.D. was delighted to participate in the Vision Interventional Pain Symposium (VIPS 2024), an international pain exchange course jointly organized by the Taiwan Pain Medicine Association, the Department of Pain Management at Taichung Tzu Chi Hospital, the Minimally Invasive Spine and Joint Surgery Center at Taichung Tzu Chi Hospital, and the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Management at Hualien Tzu Chi Hospital, at the beginning of the month.
Under the guidance of Dr. Tang Zongyong, Director of the Department of Pain Management at Taichung Tzu Chi Hospital, and other experts specializing in pain management, I learned about high-frequency thermocoagulation therapy for the shoulder joint and related spinal treatments.
Thank you to Tzu Chi Da Ai TV for recording this international pain exchange course. I also hope to be able to flexibly apply nerve block and high-frequency thermocoagulation therapy to various peripheral joint disorders in the future, providing more treatment options for patients suffering from intractable pain.
