[Republic of China Radiological Society (TRS) Shoulder Pain: Comprehensive Clinical Assessment and Emerging Interventional Therapies & MSK Year-End Quarterly Meeting] [Academic Exchange] [Transarterial Microembolization (TAME) Combined with Local Injection] [Shoulder Pain] 2023-12-9

I am grateful to the Chinese Society of Radiology (TRS) for appointing me as the vice-convener of this year's musculoskeletal sub-specialty meeting. Thanks to Professor Wang Jianguo's idea, I was able to invite physicians from various specialties to share their perspectives and insights on shoulder pain at the year-end quarterly meeting. The audience, including myself, actively participated, raising various questions.

We were delighted to have Dr. Chen Yue from Kaohsiung Veterans General Hospital, Tainan Branch, explain scapular dyskinesis and shoulder changes observed during various physical examinations under arthroscopy; Dr. You Zhiwei from the Department of Radiology, National Taiwan University Hospital, provided a detailed introduction to the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) manifestations of various shoulder diseases; and Dr. Wu Weiting from the Rehabilitation Department, National Taiwan University Beihu Branch, gave us a comprehensive overview of the various anatomical structures and pathological changes in the anterior shoulder ultrasound.

Dr. Wu Shuyi from Youli Clinic in Beitun District, Taichung City, led us through a review of major literature on the mechanisms and concentrations of high-concentration glucose and the concept of hyperplasia injection; and Dr. Wen Yongrui, former president of the Taiwan Pain Medicine Association, introduced us to the nerves supplying each shoulder and nerve cauterization treatment.

I would also like to take this opportunity to share the latest literature on [Transarterial Microembolization (TAME)] and my own case study on combined proliferative therapy injections and nerve blocks. Registration for this conference was very enthusiastic, and it was a complete success. I look forward to Dr. Okuno's hands-on course and sharing session in Taiwan next January.
