Thank you to Dr. Jian-An Liu of the Taiwan Society of Interventional Radiology for the invitation to speak on the musculoskeletal (Simplified TAME)… The meeting also covered the relevant content of the TAME and the treatment experience at National Cheng Kung University. It was also a pleasure to have further discussions and exchanges with many radiologists who perform interventional treatments on related topics.

【1. The effects may be similar】
Plantar fasciitis with plantar fascia thickening, Achilles tendinitis, hallux valgus, degenerative arthritis of the fingers.

[2. Slightly less effective, but still worth a try]
Tennis elbow, first metacarpophalangeal arthritis, triangular fibrocartilage complex (TFCC) injury, De Quervain's thumb, synovitis of the foot joints.

[3. Significantly less effective, not recommended]
Morton neuralgia, painful lateral tibia, neuropathic plantar pain, heel pain without plantar fascia thickening, golfer's elbow, knee disorders, shoulder disorders.
Bow Wang, M.D. also shares research findings from Dr. Yuji Okuno of Japan, published this year in the international interventional therapy journal CVIR, regarding the treatment of osteoarthritis of the fingers using the "Simplified TAME" (Transarterial Microembolization (TAME)). The literature shows that after two treatments (one to two months apart), the success rate of pain reduction and maintenance for one year was 77%.
It is believed that more and more doctors in Taiwan will implement this technology in the future, and not limited to radiologists, hoping that more patients can benefit from this treatment technology and escape the nightmare of pain.
