[Taiwan Radiology Annual Meeting TRS 2023] [Academic Exchange] [Transarterial Microembolization (TAME)]
Author: Bow Wang, M.D.
This year, we were delighted to have Dr. Yuji Okuno, the founder of musculoskeletal joint technology and [Transarterial Microembolization (TAME)], give a lecture in Taiwan. From his lecture, we learned that in just a few years, he has rapidly expanded his clinic in Japan to ten locations...
Even more honored was that Dr. Okuno mentioned in his lecture the international research paper co-authored by Bow Wang, M.D. and Dr. Dai Dawei from the Department of Imaging Medicine and the Department of Orthopedics at National Cheng Kung University. This paper primarily explores research on the improvement of bone marrow edema using Transarterial Microembolization (TAME). For those interested:Please click here to view the paper.。
In addition to the formal annual meeting, we are especially grateful to Dr. Okuno for organizing a small gathering and additional live demonstration courses for enthusiasts of Transarterial Microembolization (TAME) in Taiwan. This technology is becoming increasingly popular worldwide, and it has even been included in medical insurance coverage in the United States.
We believe that more and more physicians in Taiwan will implement this technology in the future, not just radiologists, and we look forward to more patients benefiting from this treatment and escaping the nightmare of pain.
