In the diagnosis and treatment of diseases in various parts of the body, medical imaging, besides X-rays, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and other imaging devices, relies heavily on the ultrasound. My long-held wish to be able to use the ultrasound during consultations was fulfilled this year through a group purchase.

GE's newly launched Vscan Air Portable ultrasound is lightweight, aesthetically pleasing, stable, and offers quite good image quality. Although its resolution is slightly lower than the larger ultrasound, it has already been of considerable help in my clinic applications.

Learning by scanning myself and comparing the results (musculoskeletalultrasound)

The Vscan Air features both linear and curved dual probes, with different frequencies (3-12MHz and 2-5MHz) depending on the settings, allowing for application to different depths and organs. Weighing only 205 grams, it's comfortable to hold. A full charge provides approximately 50 minutes of continuous use, which is more than enough for my current clinical use.
