Originally, this symposium, jointly organized by the Taiwan Society of Vascular Surgery (TSVS) and the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery and the Taiwan Society of Interventional Radiology (TSIR) and the Department of Imaging Medicine, was postponed due to the pandemic and ultimately merged with the Cardiovascular Surgery Annual Meeting.

I was honored to be invited by Chairman Gan Zongdan to serve as a commentator for the embolization forum. As a junior member, I listened attentively to the speakers from various fields of embolization.

The topics included various vascular puncture methods presented by Dr. Liang Hui-Lung, President of the Taiwan Society of Interventional Radiology (TSIR); embolization for gastrointestinal bleeding by Dr. Liu Kao-Lang; embolization for pelvic fracture traumatic bleeding by Dr. Liu Yi-Sheng; embolization for uterine fibroids by Dr. Shen Shu-Hui; embolization for chronic joint and tendinitis pain by Dr. Liang Keng-Wei; and a collaborative treatment and care team for benign prostatic hyperplasia from the Taipei Medical University team, including Professor Huang Chun-Yao (Cardiology), Dr. Yeh Shao-Te (Urology), and Dr. Lin Chun-Yu (Radiology).

Each topic was quite excellent, showcasing the diverse developments in interventional embolization therapy within the Department of Radiology. I gained a lot from the presentation.

The moderators and commentators on the embolization forum, besides myself, are all senior authorities...

As a commentator, I'm mainly responsible for answering questions.

Dr. Liang Geng-wei from Chung Shan Medical University Hospital is considered the leading expert in pain embolization in Taiwan. He is also my mentor and friend. Friends in Taichung with related pain needs can consult him.
